Traditional Collectors vs. High-Pressure Collectors

Some of our dust collectors are “high pressure” systems – but what does that mean?

Whether or not the air is clean or laden with dust, all air has mass. This means that as it moves, frictional forces slow it down.

The total degree of resistance within this airstream is referred to as static pressure (SP) and it is often measured in inches of water column pressure (WC).

Traditional Collectors

Traditional dust collectors are designed to move high volumes of air at low pressure.

In contrast, the Supercell operates at such a high-pressure (97.8" WC), any pressure loss from ductwork will have a negligible impact.
