Automatic Drain Connectivity - Capturing water when floor drain is not available

  1. Obtain 8mm PTFE OD tubing (available for purchase here ).
  2. Connect 8mm tubing to Auto Drain elbow fitting (press fit securely) or to Auto Drain Valve port (loosen captive fitting, insert, then tighten captive fitting).
  1. Obtain any medium or large sized plastic jug/container with a plastic lid.

  2. Drill an 8mm hole in the lid and route the 8mm PTFE tubing into the container/jug. Container should be able to “breathe” a little; a perfect seal is not suggested.
  3. It is suggested to tie-strap and secure the jug/container to the leg or side of compressor since a high level of air pressure (force) will eject through the Auto Drain and container may become projected/dislodged due to the pressure blast.
CAUTION: Do not use a 100% sealed glass beaker; these have reportedly been known to explode due to pressure.
