The Safety Speed 7400 series vertical panel saw is designed for continuous panel processing in professional woodworking shops. Built on the same platform as the 7000 model with heavy-duty induction motors, the 7400 and 7400XL add several structural upgrades that improve rigidity and cutting precision.

Key upgrades on the 7400 and 7400XL include rigid beams and a reinforced frame structure for improved cut accuracy, the integrated MID-WAY® Fence system for panel processing at waist level, and 22 aluminum material rollers on the 7400 model to support sheet goods during cutting operations.

The machine provides a cutting tolerance of approximately 0.005 in (0.125 mm) and a maximum cutting depth of 2 1/8 in (55 mm). Material scoring is optional but recommended when cutting laminated panels, melamine, or other premium sheet materials.

The 7400M model features a 10 ft frame, while the 7400XL features a 13 ft frame. Aside from frame length, the machines share the same operating features and specifications.
