California Air Tools RD-91503 is a refrigerated air dryer designed for integration into compressed air systems to reduce moisture content prior to end use. The unit is typically installed downstream of an air compressor to improve air quality and system consistency.

The system utilizes a refrigeration cycle with R134A refrigerant to lower the temperature of compressed air, allowing moisture to condense and be separated from the airflow. This process supports a pressure dew point range of 2°C to 10°C (35.6°F to 50°F), suitable for general-purpose drying applications.

The unit is rated for approximately 52 CFM and operates within a working pressure range of 29 to 145 PSI. It is designed for use in environments where inlet air temperatures may be elevated, with a maximum inlet temperature rating of 176°F.

Electrical operation is supplied by a 220V, single-phase power source with a power consumption of 0.5 kW. The dryer connects to standard air systems using 3/4" NPT inlet and outlet ports.

For system setup, the dryer is installed between the compressor and the point of use. Pre-filtration may be required to remove particulates before entering the dryer. Additional air storage can be used upstream to help stabilize pressure during operation.
