Assembled as an enclosed air system, the California Air Tools 20040DSPCAD integrates a 20-gallon compressor, moisture reduction components, and a sound-dampening cabinet for controlled indoor operation. The cabinet structure includes internal insulation and multiple cooling fans to help manage sound and temperature during use.

Air delivery is supported by two 2.0 HP motors operating at 1680 RPM, allowing the system to maintain output while limiting vibration and mechanical wear. The oil-free dual piston pump removes the need for lubrication and helps prevent oil from entering the compressed air stream.

Compressed air passes through an aftercooler where heat is reduced and water vapor begins to condense. The air then moves through an integrated drying unit to further reduce moisture before being delivered to connected tools or equipment.

The 20-gallon steel tank stores compressed air for intermittent and continuous applications, with automatic cycling between pressure thresholds to maintain system readiness.

A factory-installed automatic drain valve removes accumulated moisture from the tank using a programmable timer, allowing adjustment of drain intervals based on usage conditions. A secondary manual drain valve is included for maintenance access.

The enclosure includes dual access doors for servicing internal components, and the unit is mounted on caster wheels for repositioning within shop, warehouse, or enclosed work environments.
