Configured as an enclosed air system, the California Air Tools 20040SPCAD combines a 20-gallon compressor, sound-reducing cabinet, and automatic drain setup for controlled operation in indoor workspaces. The cabinet design incorporates internal insulation and multiple ventilation fans to manage both sound output and internal temperature.

The system is driven by two 2.0 HP motors operating at 1680 RPM, supporting steady air production while reducing vibration and mechanical stress during extended use. An oil-free dual piston pump eliminates the need for lubrication and helps maintain a clean compressed air supply.

The steel air tank provides stored air capacity for intermittent and continuous applications, with automatic cycling between pressure thresholds to maintain system readiness.

Three exhaust fans circulate air through the cabinet to help dissipate heat generated during operation. Access to internal components is provided through dual latching doors for servicing and inspection.

A factory-installed automatic drain valve removes accumulated moisture from the tank at timed intervals. The programmable timer allows adjustment of drain frequency and duration based on operating conditions, reducing the need for manual draining.
